Zines

A Random Encounter is an RPG zine about people who make roleplaying games. I'm really interested in creators, why they make things, how they make things and what they make. In A Random Encounter I focus each issue on one creator with the aim of understanding their approach to games, exploring their past projects, their future plans and more.
Issue 3 - August 2016

Issue 3 of A Random Encounter explores the work and interests of Patrick Stuart, whose False Machine blog has been a source of inspiration and entertainment since 2011. Patrick is the writer of Deep Carbon Observatory, a frequent collaborator with Scrap Princess, and is the Silver ENnie Award-winning co-writer of Maze of the Blue Medusa. In this issue we cover a lot of different aspects of Patrick's work and interests, what he enjoys about games and more. The interview is backed up by some outstanding art from Scrap Princess and Jeremy Duncan. 34 interior pages, with colour covers.
